Autumn in East Tennessee and Ruth's Chris Steakhouse!

Salaam ya'll! I've had sooo many problems with my pics through blogger/android/google plus. Anyway it appears ALL my old photos are gone. Many I still have on my hard drive, some I do not. I doubt seriously if I will go back and re-post, that's a lot of work as I have over 325 posts.

So here are a few pics with captions. Let's see what I can find:

Delicious steak hmmmm

Sweet potato casserole

Broccoli casserole

Yummy salad

So updates, updates, updates... still no dialysis, still under 20% kidney function, still gettin' by. :)

Still married to my awesome Cap'n, still deliriously happy (please say "masha'Allah!") and still waiting, sometimes patiently, for him to arrive.

Still a happy Muslim mama with a happy little girl who's cute n sweet n spicy. :)

I'm hoping to go visit Cap'n one more time but, as usual, money is the deciding factor. We are both VERY simple people. We want to live as Muslims, die as Muslims, have a happy, balanced life and work for the akhira. We wanna share some laughter, weather some storms, and raise our children. So for money to be such an issue (the not-having-it kind ;) really galls us. We are not greedy, more more more kinda people but when you really need el dinero to see your husband/wife, to spend time together as a couple and the ONLY thing preventing you are finances... well it sucks. To be polite. :)

So please make dua for us that Allah swt unites us soon. Amin!

Ma salaama ya'll...

Lovely photos - what a shame that your posts have lost the photos! I am so scared to delete any photos on google incase I lose the lot!

Salam
Nice to hear from you,and you don't require dialysis at this time.
It will give you time to loose the weight you need to reach the acceptable weight in order to have access to a kidney transplant if required in the future.
I don't know that restaurant and 50 dollars would be too much for my budget and I make an effort to eat zabiha meat.

Karima, that's exactly what I did! And lost the lot of them. :( I should have read deeper first into the issue but I plunged ahead. Waaaah!

Dear anon, first let me say masha'Allah that you try to only eat zabiha. I am sure there are many blessings in that and I pray Allah swt makes it easy for you amin!

$50 for a steak (not even an entire dinner!) is waaaaay too expensive for me as well! My friend is a server there so she did get 50% off plus it was her treat for Aaminah and I, m'A. :) I had never been there, for that very reason. It was a nice experience but not one I am willing to pay for myself.

Thanks for stopping by, ma salaama!!!

Your daughter is very pretty, masha allah.
I don't know the law in the States, but here, in Canada, I had to have a good income to sponsor my husband.
He has been here several years now, and was able to find work immediately, however,it was a requirement that I had to be able to meet.Insha Allah, if it's meant to be you will be together soon.

JAK on the compliment for my little pumpkin, Sarah. Yes the US also has sponsorship requirements; however you are able to get a co-signor, as it were, to help you meet the burden. I unfortunately do not meet the requirements alone but my good friend who does has so graciously offered to sponsor him. Alhamdulillah!

We applied for him back April and are anxiously awaiting word from the USCIS. Insha'Allah khair!

Oh and anon (Lozen?) I will indeed need another transplant. I am doing very poorly right now, kidney function-wise, but not feeling the effects too horribly. Mostly because I am just a trooper and m'A He has given me such a wonderful support group to help me through. So yes, losing enough weight for a transplant is the name of the game!
