They're baaaack! 2nd post of the day

I love 'em!

A'salaamu alaikum ya'll. I was sooo excited when I looked in my yahoo and had an email from HijabGirl and saw they had restocked my absolutely FAVE type of hijab, the long tie-back khimar. Who am I kidding, fave? It's the only one I wear for many reasons. One, comfort, comfort, comfort. Two, it's very modest. Three, it stays put fairly well. :-) HG is the only place online I have found them. I don't like the ones with the separate underscarf; I need the attached underscarf.

My love affair began innocently enough about 4 years ago. A sister threw one in with an abaya I had purchased on ebay. At first I felt kinda conspicuous but it didn't take long before I was in love. Now it's all I can wear and my black one had gotten kinda groady and I was needing some more. Unfortunately they had been out of the black (a staple for me) for the past year. Yep, year.

Alhamdulillah they got these in and when I placed my order, there were still 74 black ones left. :-) There is also beige, brown, navy and white. I have only good things to say about this company and if you are interested their prices are great. $5.95 shipping in US for any size order and I only paid $19.95 for each long khimar. Happy day!

Ma salaama ya'll...

Alhamdulillah! I love the long khimars too (although I prefer the ones with separate underscarves), and I am very satisfied with the one I ordered from Hijab Girl. I really like how they come in different sizes (I get the smallest of the long ones, which is still like navel-length, because it's more practical for me), I love the variety of colors they come in (not just the standard black) and I love how cheap they are! Insha'Allah I'll look into getting some more, although I really ought to think about giving some of my myriad hijabs away before I start thinking about new ones. :P

Question: have you ever tried their white khimar? White khimars are my favorite, but unfortunately most of the ones I find are kind of see-through. Hijab Girl's fabric is pretty opaque, though.

Salaam Alaikum

I love these hijabs!!! I have a few that I bought in morocco, but have had trouble finding good ones online!
I feel these hijabs are the most modest and really do conceal a womans shape! Also, they are so comfortable!!!

Salaam sisters! Really words can't describe my joy when I saw they had more in. :-) I too feel they are super-modest (great for breastfeeding cover too, Umm Safiya).

I think they do ship to Europe and I would imagine at decent prices. I have seen them on ebay.uk Ammena so you might wanna look there but not the same color selection. :-)

Jamilah, isn't that a great word? I don't think I've used it in 20 years and subhanallah it just popped into my mind. I even had a pause to remember how to spell it. LOL The 80's rocked!!! haha
