***Hijabi clothing alert***

A'salaamu alaikum ya'll. I found this very hijab-friendly tshirt while looking for bras today. (I really wanted to say "whilst" but refrained as I am neither British nor Canadian). It's 39" long (yes!) has long sleeves and a modest neckline. It comes in sizes M to 6X masha'Allah. It's only $9.99 and comes in 4 colors although some are sold out. Go here to check it out.

I've ordered a heather blue and a heather grey, opting out of the red and magenta. Yeah you know me, not too exciting in the color palette department. :-) I don't normally buy in multiples anymore but this seems like such a great shirt for exercising (um, I do it sometimes!) or just spending some time at the park.

Insha'Allah this will be of some help to ya'll. I have to say I've never ordered through here before but it's a huge, well-known company for plus size clothing. Some of their items come in regular sizes as well.

Ma salaama ya'll!

Ooh, I like it Masha'Allah! I looked at the color choices, and I also would have chosen the blue and grey. :)

Mashallah! I love that!

You have to tell me, also, where you buy your tie-back khimars. I have been feeling lately that my clothes are definitely not modest. Let's chat soon.

Those are nightshirts, you can find similar in any sleepwear departments

Anon, I am aware it is marketed as a night shirt. However you cannot find one this long with full-length sleeves easily. If you can find one (such as at Wal-Mart) it's usually in a cheesy very "bedtime" print and with short sleeves. Or you can find at Kohl's for about $30.

This definitely looks like a normal t-shirt and is much cheaper than any other thing I have ever found. As a t-shirt aficianado, I'm always on the lookout!

Very useful- thanks, Sis! I don't know why it never occurred to me to use a night shirt as day/outerwear- I guess for the reasons you mentioned, ie cutesy nightime prints and too short sleeves. It's hard to find good long-sleeve t-shirts anyway. I'm currently trying to solve my "what to wear whilst working out" conundrum- (there! I said "whilst", because even though I'm American born I lived for 24 years in England, hehe) and most work out gear is either too tight and un-Islamic, or makes me feel like a slobby, blobby bloke. hehe

Halim, Shukr has a new active-wear line. However, it's $$$ so if money is a factor for you, it might not work out.

However, there are some very modest options masha'Allah and I say, about time!

Sis Simy, may Allah reward you and your husband for the journey you've undertaken for His pleasure. :-) That's so exciting; I've heard of many good schools in Egypt and also, due to the Egyptian people's openness, that it's a very easy place to get acclimated to.

Masha'Allah I'm just so impressed sis that you all made hijrah to learn Arabic. I pray you all are successful in your venture, amin!

I live in Hudson, Massachusetts, US right now but we are considering a move to Tunisia. (My husband is Tunisian.) He was sent to the US by the UN High Commission for Refugees, seeking political asylum. He left his country 20 years ago subhanallah and now that the Ben Ali regime is gone insha'Allah it's safe for him to return.

We might be making hijrah sometime this summer; my husband really wants to go back home to do dawah and help his people come back to the true Islam. :-)

I adore meeting new sisters all over the world and am so glad to have "met" you, Simy. One thing to consider about the blog is that you can do good for Allah through it. I do write about my personal life but I also give info about Islam and discuss things which insha'Allah could help someone.

It's also a great way to chronicle your journey, sis, for posterity. :-)

Glad to hear back from you!
